Binzhou Museum, established in February 2015, is a comprehensive museum that integrates education, exhibition, collection, research, and solicitation. With a building area of 12,753 square meters, it is classified as a National Level II museum and a National AAA-Level scenic spot. The museum is laid out over five floors. The first floor includes a VIP room, tour service area, and temporary exhibition hall. The second floor is the core exhibition area of the museum, showcasing the rich history and culture of Binzhou. The third floor consists of the Sun Zi Exhibition Hall, youth education interactive area, and temporary exhibition hall. The fourth floor houses the anti-corruption exhibition hall, lecture hall, academic salon area, and office area. The basement level is dedicated to the surveillance room and cultural relic protection and restoration area.
The museum has been awarded various honors, including being recognized as a provincial civilized unit, Shandong Science Popularization Education Base, provincial research base for primary and secondary school students, province-level cultivation of teacher ethics base, municipal theory preaching base, Binzhou caring for the next generation education base, one of the first batch of Binzhou research and practice education bases for primary and secondary school students, and the flagship social education case of the province's top ten museums for the "Bo Xue Hui" research and study tour project. The documentary series "Searching for Red Footprints, Visiting Historical Monuments" was awarded the provincial excellent party class by the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China Shandong Provincial Committee. The short film "The Days of Mao Anying in Yangxin" was recommended by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism as one of the 100 red history stories celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The specially curated exhibition "Flag: Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China" was recognized as an outstanding exhibition and awarded the 2021 Excellence Award by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. The traditional craftsmanship project "Inheritance of Craftsmanship, Looking towards the Future" won the best volunteer service project among the province's "Four 100" advanced typical volunteer service projects and was awarded the title of "Top Ten Outstanding Social Education Cases of Provincial Museums." The exhibition "The Water of the Yellow River Comes from the Sky: Special Exhibition of Historical Yellow River Maps" was successfully selected as one of the 100 national themed exhibition projects for 2022, aimed at promoting excellent traditional Chinese culture and nurturing core socialist values.
